A Few Common Questions

How are you different from other financial advisors?

We focus specifically on helping successful Canadians who are approaching or transitioning into retirement.

This stage of life brings a different set of decisions. Income planning, tax strategy, withdrawal sequencing, and coordinating income across pensions, registered accounts, and personal investments all become more important than simple portfolio growth.

Our work is designed around that transition. Rather than taking a generalist approach, we build plans that reflect the realities of retirement and ensure each part of your financial life works together over time.

Do you specialize in retirement planning?

We work primarily with individuals and families aged 50+ who are approaching or living in retirement.

Our planning is designed around that transition, where the focus shifts from accumulation to income, tax efficiency, and long-term decision-making.

How are your services structured and compensated?

We are a fee-based wealth management practice. Fees are typically based on the assets we manage and are discussed transparently as part of the Right-Fit Roadmap™.

We believe it only makes sense to work with an advisor if the value exceeds the cost. Our role is to help improve outcomes through better decisions, tax efficiency, and long-term coordination.

Do you work with my accountant and lawyer?

Yes. Retirement decisions often involve tax, estate, legal, and investment considerations. Where appropriate, we work alongside your accountant, lawyer, and other professionals so the different parts of your plan are coordinated.

What should I expect from the first conversation?

The first conversation is a simple, no-pressure discussion focused on understanding your situation and what you’re looking for.

You don’t need to prepare anything in advance. If we move forward, we’ll guide you through the information needed step by step.

What if I’m not ready to make a decision?

That’s completely normal. Most people take time to reflect before choosing an advisor.

Our process is designed to help you make a thoughtful decision, whether that means moving forward or not.
